she's running the distance...

G

uess what I did this morning?

I'll give you a few seconds...
.
.
.
FOUR MILES!!

Yes, it took me forty-nine minutes. I'm currently averaging between 12 and 14 minutes/mile, which is not a pace that's gonna be breaking any records. But this is the longest distance this chubby chica has ever run in her whole life.

I will definitely be ready for Honolulu in December. In fact, I can hear the trade winds rustling through the palm trees now. *grin*

Woo-hoo!!!

You go girl!! When I used to be able to run/walk/exercise(!) I would chart my progress by how much faster I could get. You sound like you are doing great!

Good for you! Believe it or not, four miles leads to 8, leads to 15, leads to 20, leads to 26. You'll get there!
Great job :-)

FANTASTIC! And I think that's a great time! I've been doing this running thing for years and I'm not much faster than that. I'm an old lady. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;) GREAT JOB!

WooHoo!!! Just remember, log the miles, the speed will come after time when you arent'even trying to go faster. What is important is finishing the race, not how fast you do it.

Amanda,
I am so excited for you. Do you need a cheering section to accompany you on the trip?!?!?! I would love to see you at the finish line!

Anyone who wants to come and cheer me on is welcome. :)

The more, the merrier. We're probably staying at Bellows.

I can hear the waves on the shore now...

*sigh*

Staying at Bellows is the best! No hoity toity-ness, just waves and beach and fun (well, cockroaches but they're not bad). Good luck in your training, again!
:-)
