they say you can never go home again
the number one lady in my life, my gram, told me today that she was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer. she starts treatment on monday, with a lumpectomy and subsequent radiation.i am taking some time off of writing to get my thoughts in order.

I am thinking of you..It sounds like you have been through so much and someone is throwing even more at you. I know that this seems reallys scary but it is SO treatable - tough to go through but treatable...

I'm sorry, Amanda. I will be praying for your Gram, for your husband, and for you... Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and know there are folks in blogland pulling for you.

I will never ever say that any cancer is better than another, because, let's face it -- it all stinks. But if Gram had to get one, this one has such a high success rate. We know so much about treatment and personalizing it for each person. I'll keep you, hubby, and gram in my thoughts and prayers. If anyone deserves a break, it's you. Hang in there.
